  • Smoking Soul BBQ originated out of a mix of necessity, faith, and passion.

    Chef David has dabbled in just about every type of cuisine over the years as a leader in the kitchens of Private Clubs such as Golden Bear (Keene's Point), Citrus Club, Interlachen, Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney World, and Fleming's Steakhouse. After being bit by the BBQ bug he started to research and began crafting the perfect smoke, taking notes from some of the South's best BBQ chefs, turning it into his own obsession. His wife Jamie, shares a career deeply rooted in hospitality and all things guest experience related as an event manager and coordinator at the Citrus Club and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings.

  • David's side passion turned into a back porch hustle.

    With Jamie's lay off and 2 toddlers at home, David thought now or never. He purchased a few hundred dollars worth of meat after the country club kitchen shut down on a Saturday. Soon, neighbors were able to enjoy some normalcy by picking up new lunch and dinner options conveniently close by after the great shut down in 2020. Buzz generated and it's taken us to where we are now. We've grown from back porch smoker scheduling pick ups, a 250 gallon pull behind smoker set up roadside on the weekends, to our completely custom 32ft full kitchen trailer frequenting community festivals, your local brewery, and catering events across Central Florida.
